The Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Petroleum at Kuwait University d. This came during a seminar on colleges’ plans for distance education in the presence of a group of deans of colleges, which was held through the YouTube application recently.
“The university is the only one that has not completed studying via the Internet,” Buresli said, “In contrast, we find that most universities in the world have applied distance education in light of this health crisis that has resulted in their continuing education.”
For his part, the Acting Dean of the College of Life Sciences, Dr. Ahmed Al-Lafi, “The college has put all its readiness in front of the university administration in the alternative plan to start the study, which will be in next August. Also, next June will be a period for training faculty members on special programs in distance education, namely: Blackboard and Microsoft Teams.” .
And Al-Lafi added, “The college can launch the study before the date that was determined by the university administration during the coming August, given the college’s readiness and preparation.”
For his part, the Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies in the College of Administrative Sciences at Kuwait University, Dr. Muhammad Zaneel, “During the preparation of the distance education plan, the college formed a working group and moved away from the committees so that the work will be very easy.”
Zainal added, “The college’s preparations will be in training faculty members on the distance education system. Each scientific department in the college has been assigned a number of two faculty members to supervise the training process. We also ask each member of a training body on the date of June 20 next. To train with his students on the distance education system. ”
For his part, the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Kuwait University, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ajmi, “The college developed an alternative plan last March regarding the resumption of study,” pointing out that everyone is ready to launch distance learning from both professors and students.
Al-Ajami pointed out that «during the preparation of the plan, remote education committees, special committees in technical support, test committees, and student guidance committees were formed, explaining that the plan was presented to the university’s president, and it included Plan A of the book presented.
For her part, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Pharmacy at Kuwait University, Dr. Dalal Al-Tawil, that the college asked the Society of Pharmacy Students at Kuwait University to provide the e-mail of each male and female student in order to correspond with them since last March so that distance education can be approved for them and communicate with them via e-mail to inform them of that.
They added, “The college prepared the colleges’ plan and sent a letter to the university’s president on the 17th of last April about how the teaching methods are adopted by the college, which are the lectures that will be via video, and the laboratories will turn into videos about experiments, and field training that is usually in hospitals so that Our students will be in the front rows of clinics and hospitals. ”
