Informed health sources revealed that 350 male and female nurses stranded in India will arrive in the country today, after the return of 300 others yesterday, according to the instructions of the Minister of Health Dr. Basil Al-Sabah and Under Secretary Dr. Mostafa Reda.
The sources told Al-Jarida that these returnees will work in health facilities according to the needs of public and field hospitals operating in the face of the Corona pandemic, according to a plan in this regard.
he stated that the ministry provided them with housing in Jaber Al-Ahmad for a period of two days, until the results of the laboratory smears that are conducted for them after their arrival at the airport appear, pointing out that they will be accommodated in their original homes after ensuring that the results of their smears are negative.
And she explained that the continuous coordination with the Indian authorities is what led to the return of the stranded nurses, who took their leave and left Kuwait before the crisis and got stuck in their countries.
She emphasized that contacts are underway with a number of other countries to return medical, nursing and technical cadres to Kuwait during the coming period, after these countries agree to return their nationals from these cadres.
