The Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society distributed 1,000 food parcels and 1,000 milk cartons to workers and residents in (Sabah Al-Salem) in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior.


The General Secretary of the Society, Maha Al-Barjis, said today, Tuesday, to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), on the sidelines of the distribution, that the association continues through this distribution of these baskets its humanitarian role in the march of community support.
Al-Barjas added that the distribution of food baskets to workers and residents in the area (Sabah Al-Salem) comes to complement the distributions that preceded them in the areas of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Khaitan and Al-Farawaniyah.


They explained that the association pays great attention to all areas where workers and needy families are present, indicating that the association will distribute food baskets tomorrow in the Sabhan area, which has a labor intensity.
They stated that the basket that is distributed includes various basic foodstuffs and covers the necessary requirements for workers and residents for more than a month.
They stressed the importance of strengthening efforts to educate workers on the need to follow instructions to combat the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19) and to adhere to precautionary measures and preventive measures.
In this regard, Al-Barjas stressed the importance of social groups joining together to cross the current crisis, praising the great cooperation with the concerned authorities, which has yielded many achievements to combat the Corona virus.
They pointed out that Kuwaiti society is a mountain of values ​​of giving and solidarity stemming from the generosity of authentic customs and traditions that characterize the people of Kuwait, especially that charitable initiatives in light of this pandemic contribute towards activating the concept of community partnership and enhance the solidarity of society.
For his part, Governor (Mubarak Al-Kabeer) Governorate, Mahmoud Bushehri, in a press statement on the sidelines of the distribution, praised the efforts of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society and volunteers in facing the humanitarian challenges and their perseverance in the most difficult times to combat the emerging virus.
Bushehri pointed out the importance of distributing this food aid, which contributes to the relief of workers and residents in the isolated areas, adding that the distribution of food baskets comes in the context of the state’s efforts to combat (Corona).
He noted the good cooperation and coordination by the Kuwaiti Red Crescent and the men of the (Ministry of Interior) and the Governorate of (Mubarak Al-Kabeer) in distributing food baskets to workers and residents in the Sabah Al-Salem area.
