The US recorded at least 56,000 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, while Brazil recorded over 26,286 new cases.

According to Johns Hopkins University Tuesday, the US reported 56,100 new cases in the past 24 hours and 377 deaths. This brings the total cases nationwide to at least 3,361,042 and 135,582 deaths.

Meanwhile, Brazil recorded in the past 24 hours 20,286 new coronavirus cases, according to Brazil’s health ministry, bringing the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 1,884,967. The country also recorded 733 new deaths as the total deaths reached 72,833.

The US and Brazil rank first and second globally in the number of coronavirus cases and deaths and are the only two countries with over one million coronavirus cases.
