Today, worshipers flock to mosques in Kuwait to perform Friday prayers, after a hiatus of nearly four months, just like the rest of Islamic countries, as part of precautionary measures taken to limit the spread of the new Corona virus.

The Council of Ministers, in its meeting held on the 7th of this July, decided to return the establishment of Friday prayers in the mosques today, and thus instructed the Minister of Awqaf to take the necessary health measures, and at the same time urged citizens and residents to apply them to avoid the spread of infection among the worshipers.

Kuwait’s mosques were previously decorated with the return of the worshipers and opened the doors to the five obligatory prayers last month, except for Friday prayers, with precautionary measures that required the continued closure of women’s chapels, libraries, and toilets, and the prevention of using water coolers and stopping religious lessons and all religious activities.
