The US Department of Transportation said on Friday that the Indian government has agreed to allow US airlines to resume passenger flights in the American Indian market starting July 23.

The ministry accused the Indian government in June of practicing “unfair and discriminatory methods” regarding charter air transport services to and from India, and issued an order obligating Indian airlines to apply for a license before making charter flights.

The ministry added that it withdrew this order, and it also approved Air India’s request for charter flights to fly between the United States and India.
