KUWAIT, Aug 6 – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced that a new medical aid plane will be flown tomorrow, Friday, to the Lebanese capital, Beirut, as part of the humanitarian and medical aid provided to brothers in Lebanon, following the big explosion in Beirut port last Tuesday.
The Ministry of Health said in a press statement today, Thursday, that the aid provided in cooperation with the (Foreign) and (Defense) ministries and under the supervision of the Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah comes based on the sublime directives of His Highness the Deputy Emir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him, to allocate aid Urgent for the brothers in Lebanon, after it was exposed to this explosion, which caused great material damage.
It is worth noting that as part of Kuwait’s efforts to provide relief to the Lebanese people, the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, earlier today, provided 36 tons of medical supplies to the Lebanese Red Cross in support of its relief efforts.
The aid, which was transported through a Kuwaiti Air Force plane, was delivered by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the (Red Crescent), Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, at the head of a delegation from the association indicating that the plane was prepared in record time with a load of 35 tons of heavy medical equipment, hospital supplies, materials for surgical operations, medicines and bags.
