As part of the efforts exerted to relieve citizens and residents, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Essam Salem Al-Naham, today, Thursday, in the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Traffic and Operations, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, launched the (Traffickw) application for smartphones, which enables all citizens and residents to obtain a number of services Provided by the General Traffic Department.

Lieutenant General Al-Naham conveyed the greetings of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Khaled Al-Saleh, and his emphasis on continuing to support technological development and raise the level of services within the security establishment in line with the latest developments, in order to achieve speed of achievement and keep up with the latest developments.

Then Lt. Gen. Al-Naham listened to a detailed explanation from the Assistant Director-General of the General Directorate of Traffic for Traffic Regulation and Licensing Affairs Brigadier Yusef Al-Khadda about the services provided by the application and the method of registration in a way that achieves the maximum benefit for citizens and residents.

The application also sends notifications to its users via smartphones in which it identifies any traffic obstacle on the roads “serious accidents – a load fall – an intersection breakdown” to avoid using it to prevent traffic congestion. The application provides the feature of locating traffic departments in the governorates of Kuwait to facilitate the visitors. The application also provides Fines payment services, booking a driver’s license test appointment, and booking an appointment for vehicle licensing, requests and forms for driving licenses, and the application includes the ability to submit complaints and suggestions by citizens and residents.

All citizens and residents can benefit from the application after activating it according to a correct mechanism that requires registering all their vehicles by inserting the required data, as the General Traffic Department, after making sure of the validity of these data, will send a special password to the user of the application via his e-mail, through which he is allowed to benefit From the services provided by the application.

The team also briefed Al-Nham about the special division for unloading the surveillance cameras installed within the patrols and the mechanism for working in them, and submitting reports to the concerned departments to take the necessary measures.

In conclusion, Lieutenant General Al-Niham expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by the Traffic and Operations Sector, and called on them to continue work and make more efforts to improve traffic services to facilitate the citizens and residents
