On Saturday morning, a plane landed within the Kuwaiti airlift at Rafic Hariri Airport carrying 35 tons of medical supplies and food to aid the Lebanese people.

In parallel to the airlift, a number of Kuwaiti Red Crescent volunteers participated in supporting the Lebanese Red Cross teams in the field work by providing aid and assistance to the affected people and helping the needy Lebanese to get out of this disaster.

The head of the Red Crescent Society, Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, said, “The plane that left today was loaded with 35 tons of various medical and food materials, sterilizers, vacuums, masks, face shields, and large quantities of medical solutions and medical injections.”

He stressed that teams of Kuwaiti volunteers are distributing relief and health supplies to the affected people in cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross and in coordination with the Kuwaiti embassy in Lebanon.
