Yesterday morning, two Kuwaiti air force planes arrived in Lebanon loaded with necessities, emergency medical aid and foodstuffs.

The Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defense announced that the two flights are the third and fourth of the airlift, and this comes in implementation of the sublime directives of His Highness the Deputy Emir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, and an embodiment of the spirit of brotherhood and joint cooperation between the two countries, in order to secure them for those affected by the explosion that occurred in Beirut Port.

The directorate added in a press statement that these two flights come in coordination with the ministries of commerce and health, and that 70 tons of emergency medical needs and aid were shipped distributed over the two planes.

In another regard, Alghanim Industries announced its donation to the “With You Lebanon” campaign launched by the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society for the relief of the brotherly Lebanese people, following the explosion that occurred in the Beirut port, which killed dozens, and caused thousands of injuries and caused massive destruction.

Qutayba Al-Ghanim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, revealed that the company donated to the benefit of this campaign, which aims to provide medical equipment, medicines, wheelchairs and baby milk, in addition to the necessary supplies to shelter the affected people, on Kuwaiti air bridge planes to transport humanitarian aid to Lebanon in cooperation with the Kuwaiti embassy in Beirut.

A company statement considered that this initiative confirms the historical depth of relations between the two brotherly peoples.

One wound

In a press statement about this, Al-Ghanim praised the pioneering role that the Kuwait Red Crescent Society plays in the region and around the world in relief and assistance, through which it outlines the process of giving and humanity inherent in the Kuwaiti identity.

He added, “There is no doubt that the wound is the same, and what hurts the Lebanese people as a result of this catastrophe is hurting us in Kuwait. We hope that this distress for our beloved Lebanon will disappear soon, hoping for mercy for the victims and a speedy recovery for the injured. “

Provide needs

In turn, the head of the “Red Crescent” Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer for “Alghanim Industries” continuous efforts to support the relief activities of the Association, praising the initiative of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company to donate for the benefit of this campaign, stressing that this donation has a great impact in providing the needs of “with you, Lebanon.”

He stressed that this campaign came out of the association’s feeling of its responsibility towards the brotherly Lebanese people, expressing his deep thanks to the donors who support the association’s humanitarian efforts.

He called on citizens, residents, businessmen and the private sector to donate and support the Lebanese people to bring the smile back to their children’s faces, stressing that the Kuwaiti government and people stand by Lebanon in its ordeal.

Yesterday, the Red Crescent Society distributed food and health supplies to the families affected by the huge explosion that occurred in the Beirut port.

The head of the association’s delegation in Lebanon, Dr. said. Musaed Al-Enezi told “KUNA” that the “Red Crescent” is in the field with all its capabilities to provide aid and assistance, whether medical, health, and nutritional, and extend aid to all the Lebanese people to get out of this disaster.

He mentioned that the Society’s field delegation toured a number of affected areas and a number of hospitals to view the medical and health needs, indicating that it had distributed relief and health supplies to the affected people in cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross and in coordination with the Kuwaiti embassy in Lebanon.

Al-Enezi stressed the association’s permanent readiness to provide all its capabilities to hospitals that are in urgent need of support, explaining that it will continue its relief efforts in the coming days.
