Official figures revealed that the spending of citizens and residents during the first half of this year decreased by 31 percent, including a value of 3.64 billion dinars.
Al-Rai reported that the Central Bank of Kuwait, the spending of citizens and residents during the period from January to last June witnessed spending by citizens and residents amounting to about 8.26 billion dinars, compared with 11.9 billion dinars for the same period of the year 2019.

In terms of direct spending from bank cards on purchases through points of sale, their value decreased by 37.4 percent, with a value of 2.09 billion dinars during the past 6 months, bringing the value of spending on purchases during that period to 3.5 billion dinars, compared with 5.6 billion dinars for the period Same from 2019.
As for “cash” withdrawals, they decreased by 24.5 percent, with a value of 1.54 billion dinars, to reach 4.75 billion dinars during the period from January to June 2020, compared to 6.29 billion dinars for the same period in 2019.
