Two planes belonging to the Kuwaiti Air Force landed on Sunday at Rafik Hariri Airport carrying foodstuffs within an air bridge to transport aid to Lebanon, following the explosion at Beirut Port last Tuesday.

The pilot of the first plane, Colonel Pilot Firas Al-Khulaifi, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), “This is the sixth plane in the airlift, carrying 50 tons of food baskets and flour.” In turn, the commander of the second plane, Colonel Pilot Fahad Al-Juwaisri, told (KUNA) that his plane is the seventh and carries 60 tons of flour. The Kuwaiti airlift planes have been rolling over the past five days since the Beirut seaport explosion last Tuesday, which left dozens of dead, wounded and missing, carrying medical, health and food supplies and hospital equipment.
