The Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Counselor Jamal Al-Jalawi, announced that the Customs has launched an automatic link with the Ministry of Interior represented by (the General Traffic Department) that allows it to obtain information on Kuwaiti vehicles and the full data of their owners in an accurate and secure connection.
Al-Jalawi said that this step comes as part of the “updates” that Customs undertook to achieve its goals of speed and accuracy in procedural and security dealing with the movement of passengers and cars through the border crossings.

For his part, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Traffic and Operations, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, revealed the start of activating the electronic link between the General Traffic Department and the General Customs Department, to preserve the vehicle ownership rights for people and prevent them from leaving the company with others except after obtaining a power of attorney, and also supports the traffic security side to reach The user of the vehicle coming from outside the country in the event of a crime, as well as the traffic side in terms of recording traffic violations in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the previous owner of the vehicle in the event of transferring ownership between people, and this cooperation comes through the electronic link to enhance the security aspect through the border crossings for travelers and their vehicles.
